Sterling Silver Bangles
Sterling Silver Bangles
Thomas Sabo sterling silver bangles are made from 925 sterling silver and hold their round shape rather than sitting loose like a chain. That solid form makes them easy to slip on and a good base for stacking. Styles run from plain polished bangles to designs with detailing or stones, so you can keep it simple or build up a few.
A plain bangle is the easiest to wear daily and stacks neatly with others. Detailed or stone-set bangles read dressier and work well as a single piece. Because they keep their shape, bangles sit differently to a chain bracelet and tend to move and catch the light as you wear them.
Getting the size right
Bangles size by inner diameter, not wrist circumference:
- Measure across the widest part of your hand with fingers tucked in.
- The bangle needs to clear your knuckles to slip on.
- Too large and it slides off; too small and it won't pass the hand.
Care
Sterling silver darkens over time, which is normal and easy to fix. A soft polishing cloth brings the shine back. Store bangles apart so they don't scratch each other, keep them dry to slow tarnishing, and take them off for heavy tasks where they might get knocked.
Styling and gifting
Open and closed styles
Closed bangles slip over the hand and keep their full round shape, while open or cuff-style bangles have a gap that lets you ease them on, which suits anyone who finds slip-on sizing tricky. Mixing a couple of widths in a stack gives more interest than several identical ones, and they tend to chime softly as you move.
Stack two or three bangles for a fuller look, or wear one on its own for something cleaner. A bangle is a good gift since the slip-on fit is more forgiving than a ring size. We ship Australia-wide and Afterpay is available at checkout.
